Community Youth Orchestras Community Youth Orchestras are a great way for students to get more experience in orchestra, meet new people, be exposed to new music, perform in amazing venues, and continue to foster their love and interest in music. Many, if not most, of the students who stand out as accomplished players have been a part of ensembles like these. Novi Youth Symphony Orchestra https://www.facebook.com/people/Novi-Youth-String-Orchestra/100082953866918/ This is a new youth symphony to the area. In just 2 short years it has grown to include winds and brass to perform full symphonic works. Mrs. Cirihal helps with this orchestra and can provide more information if you are interested. Students should be at a Suzuki Bk 4 level or equivalent to participate.

Our ensembles are designed to accommodate players of all levels of experience and ability. We offer students a chance to explore different musical styles with chamber and specialty ensembles. Musicians are placed in ensembles by playing ability, not by age, so that all students can progress at their own pace.”
Oakland Youth Orchestras

Each year we attract nearly 350 students who want to be challenged beyond their school music experience. Our conductors are accomplished musicians with extensive backgrounds in performance and music education.
Dearborn Youth Symphony http://dearbornyouthsymphony.org/ The Dearborn Youth Symphony is a thriving instrumental music organization that offer instructional and performance opportunities to youth musicians. Membership is offered through audition and includes elementary through high school students ages 8-18. There are no school or residency restrictions to participate. Currently, over 200 students represent 27 communities throughout Southeast Michigan.
